Scenography of the Mind
Philosophical Perspectives on Narration, the Construction of Meaning, and the Symbolic Abstraction of Sense
Series of Ipazia Academic Seminars
The Scenography of the Mind series is a philosophical program dedicated to the study of how human beings construct experience through narration, interpretation, and symbolization.
Every civilization develops around great ideas: concepts, symbolic images, narratives, and structures of meaning that guide the way individuals understand reality, interpret events, and attribute value to their own existence.
This cycle of Ipazia Academic Seminars explores the role that these mental and symbolic structures play in the formation of human consciousness and in the development of cultures.
Through the analysis of texts from different philosophical and wisdom traditions, the program investigates the way in which the mind organizes experience and constructs the “interior scenography” within which life is perceived, interpreted, and lived.
The program traverses perspectives from ancient philosophy, medieval tradition, modern philosophy, and contemporary thought, showing how great ideas are not merely theoretical contents, but true architectures of meaning that shape individual and collective experience.
Understanding these structures means acquiring greater clarity about the processes through which we interpret the world, construct meaning, and guide our choices.
The program is designed to enable participants to:
- understand the role of narratives and symbolic structures in the construction of human experience
- analyze how great philosophical ideas have influenced the formation of civilizations
- explore the relationship between language, interpretation, and meaning
- develop greater awareness of the cognitive and interpretive processes that guide human thought
- integrate perspectives from different philosophical traditions in the study of consciousness and experience
The bundle includes a series of Ipazia Academic Seminars, each dedicated to the analysis of a specific theme related to the construction of meaning and the narration of experience.
The seminars, each lasting 3 hours, can be attended individually or as part of the complete program.
The programme is aimed at:
